Library Cards
Borrowers cards are free to residents of Park County and employees of Yellowstone National Park.
Non-residents are charged a fee of $15.00 per year. Temporary residents, such as summer visitors, may obtain a card by providing a refundable deposit of $15.00.
All applicants must complete a short form and provide photo identification as well as some form of identification showing a Park County address.
Children 16 or younger must have their application signed by a parent or guardian.
A reserve may be placed at the circulation desk for any item not on the shelf. Reserves are filled in the order received. Reserved items may only be held for pickup for one week.
Newest books (with 7-DAY sticker) – 1 week
Other books – 3 weeks
Videos, DVD’s, CD-ROM’s and Music CD’s – 1 week
Audiobooks (Cassettes, CD’s and MP3CD’s) – 3 weeks
Magazines – 1 week for back issues. The most recently received copy does not circulate.
Library materials may be renewed by phone, online, or in person.
Fines are assessed for overdue, damaged or lost library materials.
Overdue Books, Audiobooks & Videos – $.10 per day
Overdue Interlibrary Loans – $1.00 per day
The replacement cost of the item plus a $3.00 processing fee is charged for all unreturned or damaged items except interlibrary loans. Fines for ILL’s are set by the lending library. The minimum fine for an unreturned ILL is $50.00.
