Pre-School Story Time
Come join us and “Blaze New Trails With Books.” This program for 3 – 5 year-olds takes place on Friday mornings from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Your child will listen to picture books or flannel stories. The fare of the day may also include finger-plays, action rhymes or singing.

After School Club
Once a month on an early release day, elementary school children can come to the library for an afternoon of crafts, stories and snacks. Preregistration is requested for these programs to help us plan for supplies. Kids: also keep in mind that there are opportunities to keep you informed and entertained right here on the Kids Pages.

Family Reading Night
Watch for information about these occasional events which include stories with guest readers, sing-alongs and a bedtime snack.  The programs provide a great opportunity to spend a relaxing family evening at the library. Children are welcome to attend in their pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed animal. For more ideas about what is on tap for family entertainment check our Special Events.

Carnegie Readers
The Friends of the Library sponsor this dynamic book discussion group.  It meets at 5pm on the first Thursday of each month.  All interested readers are encouraged to participate!

Friday Night at the Movies
On the second Friday of each month, the Friends of the Library sponsor a movie showing in the Bev Steveson Program Room (7pm).  Movie titles vary and may range from foreign films to classics.  Be sure to join us for this fun night at the library!

Public Meetings
The Bev Steveson Program Room is available for community meetings and events when not in use for library programs.  Use of the room is free to all non-profit organizations.  Please call the library for information on availability and to request a room reservation application.  For more information see the Meeting Room page.
