Reader’s Club – Novel discussions and related activities Wednesday afternoons, 3:45-4:45 PM for ages 8-12.

Wii Wednesdays – After school gaming for grades 6-12 in the Teen Room, 4-5 PM, limit 8.

Thursday,  April 15- In celebration of National Library Week, a Teen Literature Day open house will be held from 4-5 PM in the Teen Room. Come check out the 2010 Teen Top Ten nominated books and new YA releases. Snacks will be served.

Friday, April 16Epic by Conor Kostik is the monthly pick for the Young Adult Book Discussion Group which will meet from 4-5 PM in the Teen Room.  Copies are available for checkout.

Thursday, April 22 – Family Read Night will be hosting a special program to highlight a new collection of books obtained through a “Picturing America” grant.  Dinner will be served at 6 PM followed by special readings from City and County officials.  Food and fun for all ages, 6-7:45 PM.

Thursday, April 29 – In honor of National Poetry Month, the After School Program will feature a Spring Poetry Workshop for elementary ages, K-5, from 3:45-4:45 PM. Snacks will be provided.

Reader’s Club: Novel discussions and related activities every Wednesday, 3:45-4:45, ages 8-12.

Wii Wednesdays: After school gaming for grades 6-12, Wednesdays in the Teen Room, 4-5 PM,  limit 8.

Teen Tech Week Events, March 8 – 13: Teens can test their knowledge of text lingo by picking up a quiz anytime after school throughout the week. Then, join the Texting Competition to find out who is the fastest teen texter in town,  Wednesday, March 10, 4-5 PM in the Teen Room.  Prizes will be awarded.

After School ProgramCelebrate Vincent Van Gogh’s birthday through stories and drawing or painting one of his famous works of art. Snacks will be provided. Thursday, March 18, 3:45-4:45 PM.

The Young Adult Book Discussion Group (grades 6-12) meets in the Teen Room, Friday, March 19, 4-5 PM to discuss Maximum Ride by James Patterson. Copies are available to check out.

Family Read Night: Dinosaurs!!! with Museum of the Rockies, Thursday, March 25th, 6-7:45 PM. Fun interaction for all ages. Snacks will be provided.

After School Program: Thursday, February 18, 3:45-4:45 PM – An author study of Chris Van Allsburg with stories, crafts and snacks. Grades K-5.

Young Adult Book Discussion Group: Friday, February 19, 4-5 PM in the Teen Room. This month’s pick, The Book Thief, by Marcus Zusak, is available for check out. Grades 6-12.

Family Read Night: A Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration! February 25, 6:30-7:30 PM, all ages welcomed.
