Summer Internship!

The Library has a summer internship available for Park County residents between sixteen and nineteen years of age. (Additional requirements are listed on the application.) Summer interns will be expected to work 12 hours per week for eight weeks and will receive a stipend of $740.00. This internship has been made possible through the generosity of members of the Friends of the Library and the Yellowstone Club.

National Library Week!

It’s National Library Week! We’d love to have you celebrate with us! On April 10th, 4-6pm, we are holding an Open House. There will be refreshments, guided tours of the Library, and a technology petting zoo! Come get hands-on practice with iPads, Kindles, Nooks, smart phones, and more! After the Open House, at 6:30pm we will have an “Introduction to Laptops” computer class. Sign up is required in advance.

On Friday April 13th, there are more great events! At 2pm we have 30 minutes of Music at the Library with Park High School’s Concert Choir. Then from 3-5pm, learn job search strategies in this tough economy from Skip Shiver from Job Service.

Children’s Program Cancellations

Hunger Games At The Library!

Tributes, aged 11-18, from all districts are encouraged to come join the live-action Hunger Games on March 23, 5:30-8:30 PM. Pizza will be served at 5:30 and the games will begin after the library closes at 6 PM. This program is free, but please sign up by March 22.

Free College Planning Seminar at Livingston-Park County Public Library

On Thursday, March 8, 6:30-8 PM, the Library will be hosting “What Colleges Look For In A Student: College Planning For Students And Their Families” with Stephen Michaud, Independent College Counselor with Family Pathways College Counseling. Mr. Michaud will cover eleven different criteria that colleges use for their admissions evaluations, and then hold a question and answer session afterward. This seminar will benefit students in all grades of high school to prepare for post-graduation.

Stephen Michaud, owner of Family Pathways College Counseling, is a practicing independent college counselor in Bozeman, Montana. For over 20 years Stephen has been helping families from coast to coast navigate and explore post-secondary options. www.familypathways.com
