Take your best shots of Livingston landmarks with Lindsay&#8217;s guidance. <strong>July 7: The Story of Drums- Join Chet Leach</strong> <strong>of Rhythm Drums </strong>as he gives a musical tour of drumming around the world. There will be hands-on participation afterwards. <strong>July 14: A</strong> <strong>Deathly Hallows Costume Party!</strong> To celebrate the film finale of the Harry Potter series, we&#8217;ll be hosting a Hogwarts feast for all eligible witches and wizards. <strong>July 21: Rock &amp; Ice Climbing 101</strong>-<strong> Professional climbing guide,</strong> <strong>Ron Brunckhorst</strong> will bring his gear &amp; experience to teach climbing basics of how, when and where to climb in Montana. <strong>July 28: Library Lockdown!</strong> For our grand finale <em><strong>we will meet after closing from 8-11 PM</strong></em> for a fun night of crafts, games, snacks and a special drawing. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>An internship for a Park County high school student will be available this summer at the Livingston-Park County Public Library. Summer interns will be expected to work 12 hours per week for eight weeks and will receive a stipend of $710.00. The internship has been made possible through the generosity of members of The Friends of the Library and The Yellowstone Club, a chapter of the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs.</p>
<p>Applicants for the internship must be Park County residents who are between sixteen and nineteen years of age. Each applicant must complete an application form and provide a record of high school grades as well as a signed letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, counselor or other qualified adult. Application forms are available at the library or <a href="http://www.livingstonpubliclibrary.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Internship-Application-2011.pdf" target="_blank">here at this link</a>. The application deadline is Friday, June 10.</p>
<p>Home-schooled students as well as traditionally enrolled high school students are encouraged to apply.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Join us Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 7PM for a special screening of the independent documentary, <em>Where You From,</em> by local director/producer Sabrina Lee. This amazing film explores the lives of three young hip-hop artists pursuing their music in the rural settings of Livingston and Bozeman, MT and Fortuna, CA.&nbsp; The provocative stories of their pain and aspirations will grip you whether you&#8217;re a fan of hip-hop or not. <em>Where You From</em> has previously been shown at seven film festivals, winning Best Music Documentary at San Francisco&#8217;s Frozen Film Festival. As a kick off to Teen Tech Week at the library, Sabrina will be available for Q&amp;A afterward. She especially enjoys interacting with young artists. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Coming in June, kids can Make a Splash and Make Waves @ the library! The children&#8217;s summer reading celebration, Make a Splash! will begin on Tuesday, June 15 for K-2nd grades and Wednesday, June 16 for 3rd-5th grades, from 1:30-2:30 PM. Make a Splash will continue through Wednesday, August 4. Along with the regular fare of stories, crafts and reading incentives, there will be many special programs, including: Miss Frances&#8217; Musical Instruments Sing Along for K-2; Montana Outdoor Science School for 3rd-5th; Storyteller/Naturalist Doc Wild; Magician Kyle Groves; Museum of the Rockies; and children&#8217;s singer-songwriter Copper Tom. </p>
<p>Tweens and teens in 6th -12th grades can Make Waves @ the library on Thursdays 1:30 &#8211; 3 PM, starting June 17 through July 22. Each week there will be fun events, including a Sidewalk Chalk Art Splash, Fun in the Sun Crafts, Storyteller/Naturalist Doc Wild, Life&#8217;s a Beach Party, an L-Town Treasure Hunt, and Summer 2010 Water Olympiad Finale! Additionally, the Teen Beach Bum Book Club will meet Friday afternoons on June 25, July 9, July 16, and July 23. Discussion titles are <em><strong>Found</strong></em> by Margaret Haddix Peterson, <strong><em>Keeper</em></strong> by Kathi Appelt, <strong><em>The Red Kayak</em></strong> by Priscilla Cummings, and <strong><em>They Came From Below</em></strong> by Blake Nelson.
