After School Club!!! December 14, 2011 3:00-5:00 pm. Grades Pre-K-5^th grades. Younger Patrons Welcomed Accompanied by an Adult. Come to Livingston-Park County Public Library for: “The Polar Express Extravaganza” We will read the book, by Chris Van Allsberg, Watch the movie, have hot chocolate and cookies! State Library and the Montana Fish, Wildlife,

and Parks, learning trunks.There will be hands-on

exploration with: a skull, hides, puppets, crafts,

stories, and more. Snacks will be provided.

Family Read Night – October 27, 2011 6:00-7:30 pm pre-school-5th grade Museum of the Rockies “Dinosaurs” Bring our youngest patrons to Livingston-Park County Public Library, for a night of family fun! The youth educational director from Museum of the Rockies, will be here to share a variety of dinosaur fun: stories, games, artifacts, crafts, and snacks. Hope to see you there! Fall Book Sale: October 12th-15th

Don’t miss the Fall Book Sale sponsored by the Friends of the Library! It begins Wednesday evening 5-8pm, for Friends members only. (Memberships can be obtained at the door.) Then the sale continues Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday 10am-6pm, and Saturday 10am-3pm. Prices will be reduced on Saturday.

Authors Bryan and Amanda Davis to Speak

Young Adult fantasy authors, Bryan and Amanda Davis will giving an author talk on Tuesday, October 4, 7-8:30 PM. Bryan Davis has authored several series, including Dragons in Our Midst, Oracles of Fire, and Echoes from the Edge. Amanda Davis just released Precisely Terminated, a young adult dystopian fantasy, part of the Cantral Trilogy. After speaking, the authors will sell and sign books.

Teen Summer Reading Program Starting June 23

Keep your teens and tweens involved in reading through many interesting summer programs at the Livingston-Park County Public Library. The Teen Summer Reading Program, “You Are Here,” will meet Thursday afternoons , 1:30 -3 PM beginning June 23 (through July 28). It will include the following programs: June 23: A Genealogy Workshop with Carol Woodley of the Park County Historical Society – free instruction on how to research your origins and ancestors. June 30: Photography 101 with professional photographer, Lindsay Wright. Take your best shots of Livingston landmarks with Lindsay’s guidance. July 7: The Story of Drums- Join Chet Leach of Rhythm Drums as he gives a musical tour of drumming around the world. There will be hands-on participation afterwards. July 14: A Deathly Hallows Costume Party! To celebrate the film finale of the Harry Potter series, we’ll be hosting a Hogwarts feast for all eligible witches and wizards. July 21: Rock & Ice Climbing 101- Professional climbing guide, Ron Brunckhorst will bring his gear & experience to teach climbing basics of how, when and where to climb in Montana. July 28: Library Lockdown! For our grand finale we will meet after closing from 8-11 PM for a fun night of crafts, games, snacks and a special drawing. For more information, call Lisa @ 222-0862.
